On September 1, 2016, a children's activity center named "Trendy Sunshine Childhood Park" was completed in Xianwan Village, Qin'an County, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is said to be the most fashionable and loving children's activity center in Asia. Trendy International Group hopes that the highly personalized children's activity center, which combines student public aid and architectural design art, can help the education and growth of local preschool children.

Trendy Joins Hands with Bazaar Charity to Focus on Western Rural Education

In recent years, many public welfare institutions have focused on western rural children's education by building loving primary schools or fundraising for assisting students. But few of them target preschool children's education. In fact, preschool education plays a vital role in the growth of children. It is understood that in the remote areas of western China, the entrance rate of school-age children is only 30% or so. Most children are left behind. They lack of parental companionship and education, and have missed the most valuable time for education. The "Trendy Sunshine Childhood Park" was born in the hope of working to fill the vacancies in rural preschool education, and help children in remote areas who cannot accept formal preschool education for various reasons to enjoy preschool education service around home, so as to lay a good foundation for the future development of rural children in remote areas.

"Trendy Sunshine Childhood Park" is one of the key public projects of Trendy International Group in child care and social sustainable development, and one of the areas that Trendy has been very concerned about. It is hoping to provide a paradise for local preschool children to spend their childhood through hardware construction and software services and other aspects of support. The center in Tianshui, Gansu province is the first children's activity center of the Group. Jointly carried out with Bazaar Charity Fund, the project has received great support from the local educational sector.

Education x Architectural Design to Create the Most Fashionable Children's Activity Center

The architectural appearance of Trendy Sunshine Childhood Park is designed by the team of Professor Zhu Jingxiang from the School of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong. The original intention of the design is derived from the cross-thinking of education and architecture – giving children the freedom of exploration. The architecture’s prototype, which is a common form of double-slope roofing in the local village, allows for easy integration into the existing village fabric, while the innovative plate-building system facilitates the construction of walls, floors and roofs and creates a play space for preschoolers.

The inner structure of the childhood park is composed of big or small or convex or concave lattices: the flexible and movable lattice can meet the needs of preschoolers for space exploration, and has an extremely important role in the formation of children's intelligence and cultivation of their abilities; at the same time it can prevent wind, heat, and earthquake. There are many children's toys and children's books, such as Lego, snowflakes, breathing sand and balance boards, which promote the physical and mental development of preschool children. The children's activity center, which combines functions of amusement, exercise and intelligence, is both handsome and practical. The local pre-school children finally have a fun, safe and playful reading place similar to their home.

Such a fashionable design was invited to participate in the 15th Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2016. It is, as it were, a perfect combination of architectural art design and educational public practice, which is one of the reasons that Trendy actively promotes the public project - by the fashionable architectural art of the childhood park to add a touch of bright color and innovative development ideas to western rural student welfare activities.

Trendy Employee Volunteers Build the Sunshine Childhood Park - Fashionable and Loving

In addition to the fashionable design of architectural art, another fashionable feature is that Trendy encourages employees to actively participate in public action. Many employees were selected in the Group and formed a volunteer team to devote themselves to every step and every detail of the construction of the childhood park thousands of miles away.

There are, among them, versatile fashion designers and workplace fashion lovers with rich public welfare experience. They threw themselves into this public action, for the early material transport, fine assembly of each component in a week, final completion of the beautiful and strong activity center; home visit after school starts, teaching support, interactive games, and so on. Trendy fashion style and public responsibility complement each other.

In just 7 days, everyone got involved in the construction of the childhood park on behalf of the big family of Trendy. They are very excited and proud to give the fashion T-shirts full of kindly feelings to children.

Volunteers are also very happy to let the children start their school day this year by teaching children to create and paint clothing freely, and playing interactive puzzle games and teaching interesting sign dance with children.
